
Electronics and Electrical Engineering drives the modern world, touching all aspects of our lives. It is the technology which drives the modern industrial era by creating electronic devices and systems for sensing, transmitting and processing information, and electrical machines and systems for generating, controlling and applying power.
This course introduces students to the concepts, practices and theories, in engineering specifically in electrical and electronics areas. Moreover, this course offers a broad-based education in Electronics Technology. It combines lectures in the essential technical subjects together with an emphasis on putting theory into practice.
The Diploma and Advanced Diploma course aims to develop highly-skilled engineers who can take their place as progressive and dynamic professionals in the fast growing manufacturing, electrical and electronic industry. The key characteristics of these graduates will be their technical competency, strong skills in numeracy, computer literacy, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, strategic planning and communication skills.
With credit transfers, our Diploma provides you an option to progress into our Advanced Diploma programme and on to pursue the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computers, Networking & Communication Technology or Bachelor of Science in Engineering Business Management awarded by Coventry University, UK.

Diploma Programme Entry Requirements
Applicants to be considered for the Diploma programme must normally have:
GCE 'O' or 'A' Levels, or
Higher NITEC, or
Senior high school certificate, or
International Diploma from Auston Institute of Management & Technology, or
Professional Certificate from recognised institutions.
Exceptions to the above will be considered on an individual basis.
Applicants whose first language is not English must have a minimum TOEFL 213 by computer/550 by paper, IELTS 6.0, completion of AIMT English for Foreign Students programme or equivalent.
Appliants must be 18 years or older.
Admission to various entry levels is subject to final approval from the awarding institution/university.

Method of payment for all other fees will be in Singapore dollars. Types of payment accepted include NETs, cash, credit cards, TT and cheques (payable to 'AIMT Pte Ltd').
Students are required to complete the prescribed Course Withdrawal Form and Immigration Form V36A. Request for attendance records will only be entertained if there are no outstanding fees nor discipline issues.
Students may give their feedback and suggestions to the school at any time by filling up the Student Feedback Form or in writing to the Student Administration Department. They can also log on to the Auston website to participate in the on-line Lecturers’ Evaluation every term.

Students who wish to withdraw must complete a prescribed Course Withdrawal Form that is obtainable from the front desk and submit to the Student Administration Office. The completed form should be submitted together with the Auston student card.
