Dr Sia Eng Kee
Dr Sia Eng Kee------ Head of Academics
Dr Sia Eng Kee graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics (Honours) from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore in 1996. He then pursued a Master of Science in Communications Engineering from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore in 2000. At the same time he enlarged his area of interest and obtained his Master of Business Administration from University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom in 2000. In 2003 he obtained a Ph.D in Semiconductor Physics awarded by Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany in conjunction with The National University of Singapore. Dr. Sia worked as a Manager (Engineering) in an established MNC specialising in Optoelectronic communication devices, especially GaAs visible red lasers and communication photodetectors from 1996 to 2004. During his employment with the MNC, he was attached to the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE) and Centre for Optoelectronics, NUS developing GaN blue laser and white LEDs devices. Dr Sia's research interest includes developing new materials from compound semiconductors and fabricating visible and communication optoelectronic devices. Dr. Sia has also published a book entitled "The Application of Piezoelectric Quantum 1/f Noise Theory to Describe the Low Frequency Noise in ELO – GaN and n – GaN". (Singapore 2003, ISBN: 981-05-0060-2). In addition he also published research papers in various international journals such as Applied Physics Letters and Physical Review B. With his specialization, Dr. Sia currently teaches Advanced Digital Systems, plus all Communications and Networks modules. He also supervises all final year Engineering projects. Dr. Sia was appointed Head of Academics in 2008.

Ms Esther Koh Geok Liang
Ms Esther Koh Geok Liang------ Deputy Head of Academics
Ms Esther Koh Geok Liang graduated from University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom in 2001, with a Masters of Science degree in International Marketing. Before entering the education field, Ms Koh worked in various industries, holding the position of marketing specialist in hospitality, security and cleanroom sectors. Ms Koh has been in the education field since 2004. She was the Assistant Dean in a local educational provider, listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange, for a period of 6 years. She joins Auston as Deputy Head of Academic Affairs. Her specialist areas of teaching are Marketing and Business Strategy.

Ms Thanalakshmi d/o Thambiayya
Ms Thanalakshmi d/o Thambiayya------ Senior Lecturer
Ms Thanalakshmi d/o Thambiayya graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Commerce majoring in Information System in 1998 and Masters in Business Information Technology in 2005 from Curtin University of Technology Western Australia. Prior to joining Auston in 2008, Ms Thanalakshmi has been deeply involved in other educational Institutes. In 1998 she tutored at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. From 1999 to 2006 she was Manager, content development and Senior Lecturer at Informatics, Singapore (listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange). She then was Head, Digital Media and Information Technology Department of ERC Institute from 2006 to 2008. Ms Thanalakshmi’s research interest includes Information Systems, Multimedia and Info-Comm Technology. As she has majored in Business Information Technology, she is currently handling Information Technology, Information Systems and Business Modules from diploma to postgraduate level in Auston. Mr John Sykioco Mateo
Mr John Sykioco Mateo------ Lecturer
John Sykioco Mateo graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electronics and Communications Engineering) in 1985 from the University of the East, Philippines. He then pursued a Masters Degree in Engineering in Education (Electronics and Communications Engineering), with a scholarship from the Department of Science and Technology, at De La Salle University, Philippines, in 1993. He is both a licensed Electronics and Communications Engineer and a licensed Professional Teacher in the Philippines. Prior to joining Auston in 2009, he has more than 20 years experience in the academics field. He was an Assistant Professor at the University of the East, Philippines, handling modules in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Information Technology from 1985 to 2007. He handled most of the professional modules in Engineering, especially, Electronics Design, Communications Design, Digital Electronics Design, as well as Project Feasibility Study. He also served as the Academic Head of the Electronics and Communications Engineering and Computer Engineering Departments in the University. Concurrently, he conducted review classes for engineering graduates who are preparing to take the licensure examinations in engineering. As he specialized in Electronics and Communications, he is currently handling Electrical and Electronics Engineering modules, Digital Electronics and Communications Engineering, for all level of the undergraduate course. He also supervises all final year engineering projects.

Ms Valentina Widyastuti

Valentina Widyastuti graduated with Bachelor Degree of Communication Studies from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia in 2006. She obtained Advanced TESOL Diploma issued by Global TESOL College in 2008. She’s specialized in teaching Business English, Tourism English and Tutoring English. Valentina worked as a Finance & Human Resource Manager in an International Humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization in Indonesia from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, she started to work in Singapore as Human Resource Officer in an Information Technology Company until the end of the year. She then joined Auston in 2009 as English Lecturer. With her specialization, Valentina has been teaching all English levels as well as Academic English.Lecturer -
Ms Le Le Yi
Ms Le Le Yi------ Lecturer
Ms Le Le Yi graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) (Honours) from Yangon Institute of Technology of Myanmar in 1991. Then she pursued a Master of Engineering in Electronic engineering from Yangon Technological University of Myanmar in 1999. To enhance her technical concept and specialization, she did her research studies in specialization of Multimedia communications, Networks and systems at Network Technological Research Centre (NTRC) at Nanyang Technological University of Singapore from 1999 to 2001. She obtained a Master of Engineering in communication and networking from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore in 2001. She worked as a lecturer at the department of Electronic Engineering and Information Technology of Yangon Technological University of Myanmar from 1992 to 2002. She has successfully conducted her lectures for undergraduate and graduate programs in electronic engineering, computer engineering and Information Technology. To utilize her research experience, she was attached to Myanma Scientific and Technological Research Department of Myanmar as a research and development engineer from 2002 to 2008. Her responsibilities were software/firmware development, project management and supervision of graduate students in electronic engineering, electrical power engineering, mechatronic engineering and information Technology for their research studies. Ms Le Le Yi’s research interest includes voice and video compression, adaptation and communication of Multimedia services through high speed data network and multicarrier modulation techniques for the transmission of high-speed data With DSL technology. She joined Auston in 2009 and currently she is teaching the modules regarding communications, computer networking, digital signal processing and embedded programming for the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Communications, Networks and Computer Technology (CNCT) students from Diploma to Degree level.Lecturer -
Ms Trinidad Editha Ongpauco
Ms Trinidad Editha Ongpauco------ Lecturer
Ms Editha Trinidad graduated with double degrees in Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from De La Salle University, Philippines in 1996. She then pursed and obtained her Master of Business Administration from De La Salle University Professional Graduate School of Business in 2001. She further obtained a certificate in Teacher Program from De La Salle University in 2003. Over the years, Ms Editha has worked as an auditor with Sycip, Gorres & Velayo (then an affiliate of Arthur Andersen), the Philippines’ premier auditing firm; an accountant in a commercial production house; a street education coordinator in a non-government organization; a manager of a family-owned film distribution company; and a team leader in a US-based accounting outsourcing firm. She was a professor in De La Salle University teaching various modules from basic to advanced Accounting. She also held administrative posts in the university coordinating various areas in the Accountancy Department and overseeing the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants. Ms Editha is a Certified Public Accountant with the Board of Accountancy of the Republic of the Philippines. With her specialization, Ms Editha currently teaches Financial and Accounting modules in Auston. She also supervises the undergraduates in business analysis project in their final year.

Ms Aneetha d/o Sundram
Ms Aneetha d/o Sundram------ Lecturer
Ms Aneetha d/o Sundram graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Accountancy) from RMIT University in 2001. She then obtained her MBA in General Management from the University of Southern Queensland in March 2011. Ms Aneetha gained audit experience with one of the Big four accounting firms as an external audit assistant from 2001 to 2003. During her employment, she was a committed team player, and performed the financial audits of many companies from various industries. She then started her lecturing career with several PEOs, covering a range of Business, and Hospitality and Tourism courses and modules from 2003 to date. She has extensive experience in lecturing foreign students, and is delighted to be able to pursue her career where her passion lies. Ms Aneetha also has a great passion for the arts, and has experience in planning and organizing events, and staging dramas and musicals. Ms Aneetha has also volunteered and worked with the less fortunate for a substantial part of her life, and takes great passion and pride in it.

Ms Lynn Hwang Ya Ling (Yasniati) is a Lecturer at the Department of English Language and she completed her Bachelor of Science from National University of Singapore in 2009. The broad-based curriculum, together with the training in critical thinking and analysis, has enabled her to excel in her teaching methodology. Currently, she is pursuing Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) accredited by the London Teacher Training College, United Kingdom, and will be completing in April 2011. What she enjoys most about teaching is the vibrant exchange of ideas in a learning community. With her specialization, Ms Lynn has been teaching all English levels as well as Academic English.

Ms Eileen Hajan

Ms Eileen Hajan graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Accounting (Honours) from Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, Malaysia in 2004. She then obtained a Master of Business Administration (Marketing) in 2009 from Universiti Putra Malaysia. During her MBA, she took up personal tutoring which leads to her interest in lecturing as her next professional career path. In 2010, Ms Eileen has been involved in one of the private education institutions listed in SGX as a lecturer in Singapore. Her areas of expertise include both accounting and marketing. From 2005 till 2008, Ms Eileen was attached to an Australian based company within the Oil & Gas industry in Malaysia. During her employment, she has contributed enormously to the development of a highly successful business providing professional technical services to the domestic and international industrial markets. Her areas of expertise developed during this period include accounting, costing, tax and project control. Ms Eileen interest lies in both accounting and marketing topics such as Service Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Islamic Finance, Cost Accounting and Strategic Management. As she majored in Marketing for her MBA together with her experience in accounting, Ms Eileen currently teaches business management related module from Diploma to MBA level.Lecturer -
Ms Sherin Banu Batcha

Mrs. Sherin Banu Batcha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with first class distinction from Bharathiar University, India in the year 2000. She went on to pursue a Master of Computer Application from Madurai Kamaraj University, India graduating in the year 2003, with first class distinction. In the year 2010, she also completed her Master of Business Administration, part time from United Business Institutes, Belgium, through Stamford College Sdn Bhd, Malaysia. Her teaching experience covers many countries, starting as a fulltime lecturer in Malaysia since 2003; primarily she handled modules in Computer Science at the Diploma to Degree levels. Until October, 2006 in Malaysia, she taught programs of University Sains Malaysia, University of East London, Athabasca University, Canada and University of Southern Queensland offered in Stamford College Sdn Bhd under the School of Computer Science and School of Business and Marketing. Further in Oct 2006, she moved to the Republic of Oman to lecture degree level computing modules in Gulf College of Oman, Muscat, which offered the Bachelor program of Staffordshire University. By end of 2007 she came back to Malaysia to teach in Stamford College Sdn Bhd. Currently she is handling Computer Science modules for Auston’s Advanced level, Degree and Post Graduate programs validated by Coventry University, United Kingdom. Her areas of specialization are Management Information Systems, E-Commerce and Knowledge Management.

Regine Lee Lai Kwang graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Marketing (Honours) from University of Herdfortshire, United Kingdom in 2000. She then pursued and obtained, a Master of Business Administration from University of Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia in 2009. Ms Lee worked as an Executive (Procurement) in an established engineering manufacturing company with international connections from 2000 to 2002. She then enhanced her working experiences as a Manager in the different areas of business development and program management, R&D engineering, manufacturing supply chain operations, original design and original engineering manufacturing. These span the period from 2003 to 2009. With her specialization, Ms Lee currently teaches Business Management and Marketing modules in Auston. Ms Jenny Yeung
Ms Jenny Yeung------ Lecturer
Ms Jenny Yeung graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Economics (major in Management) from Harapan College of Economics, Indonesia in 1998. She then worked for more than 3 years in various industries in Indonesia in the areas of customer service, accounting, and production planning. She obtained a Master of Business Administration from University of Lincoln, United Kingdom in 2003. She joined Olympia College in Malaysia as Deputy Coordinator and Lecturer for both its Secretarial and Administrative Management schools. She enhanced her teaching qualification by obtaining the Advanced Diploma in Teaching in Higher Education from Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom, offered by World Education Council Malaysia in 2003. In 2006, she returned to Indonesia to be the Center Manager for World Education Council (WEC) Malaysia. At the same time, she was also a part-time lecturer at the Institute of Trade and Business where she was voted Best Top Five Lecturer. She came back to Malaysia in 2008 to teach marketing and advertising related modules at IACT College. One of the successful students’ projects developed and facilitated by her was the IACT College’s Re-branding, in which her students’ work is currently implemented by the college. She came to Singapore in 2009 to join one of the private education institutions listed in SGX as a Senior Lecturer. Currently, she is pursuing the British Council Singapore Teaching Award and Diploma in Montessori Method of Education. She will complete both programmes in September 2011. With her specialization, Ms Jenny currently teaches Business Strategy, Human Resource Management module in Auston. She also supervises the undergraduates in business analysis project in their final year.

Mr Lawrence Au Kok Keung

Mr Lawrence Au Kok Keung graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from The Queen’s University of Belfast, United Kingdom in 1993. He then pursued a Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from the Singapore Institute of Management in 1997. In 2000, he obtained a Diploma in Management and Master of Business Administration awarded by the Imperial College London, Business School. Lawrence is ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) certified in 2010 by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) to develop & assess competency based training programs. Prior to this ACTA Certification, he had worked with industrial specialists to customize several training programs in Corporate/Project Finance and Entrepreneurship conducted at the Singapore Business Federation, Singapore Contractors Association Limited, Singapore Institute of Building Limited, National Library Board and Civil Service College. He had also provided inputs to local institutions on Pre-employment Education & Training (PET) and Continuing Education & Training (CET) Programs. Lawrence is currently pursuing the professional certification in “Project Management Professional (PMP)” from the Project Management Institute, USA, expecting to complete in 2011. Prior to joining Auston in 2011, Lawrence has more than 8 years experience in management consulting where he had advised local and overseas companies on business strategies, corporate restructuring, management-buy-outs, divestiture, market development, international project and business financing matters. Some of his past consulting projects included assisting an Indonesian Paper Products Manufacturer in corporate restructuring with procurement of capital and acquisition of a Singapore Office Supplies Company; and assisting a Singapore Fashion Retail Chain to secure financing from a Singapore Bank to finance the expansion of 2 retail outlets in Singapore Orchard Road. Ms. Sangilirajan Manjula graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with first class from Bharathidasan University,India in the year 1998. Shepursued a Master of Computer Applications from Bharathidasan University, India in the year 2001 with first class. She then obtained her Master of Philosophy in ComputerScience from Bharathidasan University in the year 2004 with first class. She then extended her interest in technology level and obtained her Master of Technology inComputer Science Engineering from SASTRA University, India in the year 2009 with first class. She started her career as a Lecturer in Idhaya College, India for handling Undergraduate & Post Graduate courses from the year 2001 to 2006. Meanwhile, she worked as a Resource Person (Part Time) in Alagappa University & Periyar University, India for handling Undergraduate & Post Graduate courses from 2004 to 2006. Then she worked as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science Engineering department at SASTRA University, India for handling Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Information Communication Technology & Mechanical Engineering courses from 2006 to 2010. She guided many final year projects in Engineering streams. In Singapore, she worked as an Information Technology Analyst in Logistics & Marine industries. She presented a research paper in National Conference held in India in the area of Context Aware Computing. Her area of interest includes Microprocessor & Microcontroller Applications. Research interests in Wireless Area Networks. In Auston, she handles Computer Science modules for Diploma to MBA level, validated by Coventry University, United Kingdom. Mr. Edgar Macasaquit
Mr. Edgar Macasaquit------ Lecturer
Mr. Edgar Macasaquit graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering in 2001 from Holy Angel University, Philippines and became a licensed Electronics Engineer within the same year. He then extended his interest in computing and pursued a degree in Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Angeles University Foundation, Philippines in 2010. Prior to joining Auston in 2011, he had more than 7 years of experience in the academics, lecturing in two branches of AMA Computer College and in Holy Angel University in the Philippines, handling electronics and computer engineering subjects and guiding final year projects in the same fields. He also held a post as a design engineer in a prominent wire harness design firm for automobiles in Philippines and as part of the engineering department in Raffles City Convention Center, Singapore, providing technical services on audio and visual equipment. His interests include microcontroller programming, computer hardware and open-source applications such as Linux, Blender, Gimp, Inkscape, Android and Audacity. Since he specialized on electronics engineering, he handles modules in Electronics and Electrical Engineering for all levels of undergraduate courses. He also supervises all final year individual projects.Lecturer
