  Introduces the external environment in which a business organisation operates. It focuses on both the microeconomic and macroeconomic environment and on other factors such as legal identity. It helps students view economics as an integral part of business by starting with the problems that businesses face every day and using economics to help understand and solve the problems.

  It introduces students to the fundamental theoretical concepts that underpin the Marketing function, in particular the role of consumer behaviour, in marketing and selling situations.   It is designed to present the language, concepts and tools commonly used in financial and management accounting. Financial accounts including profit and loss, balance Sheet and cash flow as well as managerial accounting concepts will be introduced.

  This module provides a broad and thorough introduction to accounting and quantitative methods for recording data, analysing businesses, and dealing with business problems. The module covers financial statements, financial reporting requirements of business, the purpose of financial reporting, the regulatory environment, analysis and communication of business data, basic statistics, and the use of spreadsheets.

Advanced Diploma Programme Entry Requirements

Applicants to be considered for the Diploma programme must normally have:

• Related Business Diploma from Auston Institute of Management, or
• Related Business Diploma from recognised institutions.
• Professional Certificate from recognized institutions.

Notes:

Mature candidates (>25 yrs) and exceptions to the above will be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants whose first language is not English must achieve an English Language Proficiency of CEFR B2, Anglia Preparatory English Course Advanced Level or equivalent.

Admission to various entry levels is subject to final approval from the awarding institution/university.
