  It builds on basic ideas of information systems and equips the student with a more detailed knowledge of the main techniques employed in the object-oriented approach to Information Systems Development. It considers ways in which user involvement and CASE tools can improve the development process.
• 204KM Data Management and Operational Research--- 204KM Data Management and Operational Research ---
  
  This subject adopts a practical approach to data management and operational research. It introduces techniques and/or methods for identifying data sources, for searching efficiently, and for the collection, classification, representation, interpretation and analysis of data retrieved. The module aims to provide students with an insight into both the use of the techniques and some of the underpinning theory.
• 205KM Management and Organizational Behaviour--- 205KM Management and Organizational Behaviour ---
  
  Aims to provide an understanding of the practical and professional issues associated with organisational behaviour and how these relate to effective management practice. The module demonstrates the application of behavioural science within the workplace and emphasises the role of management as a core integrating activity. It will provide an understanding of the human aspects of the management of change.
• 208KM Current Technologies--- 208KM Current Technologies ---
  
  Provides students with an appreciation of the fundamentals, nature and scope of current and emerging technologies. (For example: the Internet, multimedia, Electronic & Mobile commerce, pervasive and persuasive computing etc.). It explores the fundamental characteristics of contemporary technologies and their position and impact in the market place as well as society.
• 220CT Database Systems--- 220CT Database Systems ---
  
  It provides an insight into how database systems are used commercially. It provides an introductory study of database theory, design and management together with some practical use of a multi-user database management system.

Advanced Diploma Programme Entry Requirements

Applicants to be considered for the Advanced Diploma programme must normally hold:

• Related Information Technology Diploma from Auston Institute of Management, or
• Related Information Technology Diploma from recognised institutions.
• Professional Certificate from recognized institutions.

Notes:

Mature candidates (>25 yrs) and exceptions to the above will be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants whose first language is not English must achieve an English Language Proficiency of CEFR B2, Anglia Preparatory English Course Advanced Level or equivalent.

Admission to various entry levels is subject to final approval from the awarding institution/university.
