The student will choose an academic area related to their programme of study, and apply their independent learning skills to research this area in some significant depth.

  It designed to give students an appreciation of how to carry out business research projects; how to structure them; what methods exist to gather and analyse data and how to present their results. An important aspect of this module is the emphasis on developing students' ability to become independent learners, and to reflect on, and evaluate the research processes that they adopt.

  The aim of the module is to provide students with an understanding of strategic decision making. To this end, the module critically examines techniques available to companies aiming to develop sustainable competitive advantage in their industry.

  It provides an overview of theoretical perspectives of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM). It explores current areas of debate to demonstrate how HRM is a crucial component in enabling organisations to seek sustained competitive advantage.
• 362MKT Advanced Strategic Marketing--- 362MKT Advanced Strategic Marketing ---
  
  It extends knowledge from the functional arena into the strategic decision-making environment via study, application and critical understanding of the various marketing concepts designed to help achieve competitive advantage. Skills will be developed in the areas of planning, decision-making, analysis, corporate social responsibility and the contribution of digital networks to the marketing function.
• 357FIN Financial Management--- 357FIN Financial Management ---
  
  The overall aims of this module are to make students aware of the scope and nature of the financial management function, and enable them to assess situations and data for the purpose of making appropriate recommendations and decisions.

Degree Programme Entry Requirements

Applicants to be considered for the Bachelor Degree programme must normally hold:

• Related Business Administration Advanced Diploma from Auston Institute of Management, or
• Polytechnic Related Business Diploma, or
• Related Business Diploma and Advanced Diploma from recognised institutions
• Professional Certificate from recognized institutions.

Notes:

Mature candidates (>25 yrs) and exceptions to the above will be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants whose first language is not English must achieve an English Language Proficiency of CEFR C1, Anglia Preparatory English Course Proficiency Level or equivalent.

Admission to various entry levels is subject to final approval from the awarding institution/university.
