  The aim of the module is to provide students with an understanding of strategic decision making. To this end, the module critically examines techniques available to companies aiming to develop sustainable competitive advantage in their industry.

  It provides an overview of theoretical perspectives of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM). It explores current areas of debate to demonstrate how HRM is a crucial component in enabling organisations to seek sustained competitive advantage.

  It is both widely recognised, and a self-fulfilling prophecy, that change is the only constant in the environment face by organisations in the modern world. A thorough understanding of the management of change will help to make sense of the working environment and further develop capacity for critical analysis and synthesis.

  The overall aims of this module are to make students aware of the scope and nature of the financial management function, and enable them to assess situations and data for the purpose of making appropriate recommendations and decisions.

Degree Programme Entry Requirements

Applicants to be considered for the Bachelor Degree programme must normally hold:

• Related Business & Human Resource Management Advanced Diploma from Auston Institute of Management, or
• Polytechnic Related Business Diploma, or
• Related Business Diploma and Advanced Diploma from recognised institutions
• Professional Certificate from recognized institutions.

Notes:

Mature candidates (>25 yrs) and exceptions to the above will be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants whose first language is not English must achieve an English Language Proficiency of CEFR C1, Anglia Preparatory English Course Proficiency Level or equivalent.

Admission to various entry levels is subject to final approval from the awarding institution/university.
