  It designed to give students an appreciation of how to carry out business research projects; how to structure them; what methods exist to gather and analyse data and how to present their results. An important aspect of this module is the emphasis on developing students' ability to become independent learners, and to reflect on, and evaluate the research processes that they adopt.

  The aim is to provide students with an understanding of strategic decision making. To this end, the module critically examines techniques available to companies aiming to develop sustainable competitive advantage in their industry.
• 362MKT Advanced Strategic Marketing--- 362MKT Advanced Strategic Marketing ---
  
  Develops the knowledge and understanding of marketing gained at diploma and advanced diploma. It extends knowledge from the functional arena into the strategic decision-making environment via study, application and critical understanding of the various marketing concepts designed to help achieve competitive advantage.
• 364MKT Services Marketing--- 364MKT Services Marketing ---
  
  It aims to enable students to explore the theoretical concepts surrounding services marketing and be able to apply those concepts to a variety of services marketing situations. The unique nature of services marketing will be explored with particular emphasis given to services industries where the customer is present at the site of production.
• 365MKT Retail Marketing--- 365MKT Retail Marketing ---
  
  Retailing is an activity of enormous economic significance to most developed countries. It aims to critically analyse and explore the strategic and tactical aspects of marketing and marketing management specifically applied within the context of retailing. Provides the opportunity to develop appropriate marketing solutions to problems by the use of case studies and reference to current retail developments.

Degree Programme Entry Requirements

Applicants to be considered for the Bachelor Degree programme must normally hold:

• Related Business & Marketing Advanced Diploma from Auston Institute of Management, or
• Polytechnic Related Business Diploma, or
• Related Business Diploma and Advanced Diploma from recognised institutions
• Professional Certificate from recognized institutions.

Notes:

Mature candidates (>25 yrs) and exceptions to the above will be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants whose first language is not English must achieve an English Language Proficiency of CEFR C1, Anglia Preparatory English Course Proficiency Level or equivalent.

Admission to various entry levels is subject to final approval from the awarding institution/university.
