  Introduces project management and provides a foundation for developing project skills, both human and technical, that will enable them to work on a variety of projects. The human and change aspects of projects are considered in order that the student may understand the effect on morale, productivity and quality of management decisions.

  This module examines a variety of approaches to the management of logistics operations that can be used to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain. Emphasis is placed on the international context and the development of new approaches using IT to improve the flow and impact of information.
• 309KM Procurement and Inventory Management--- 309KM Procurement and Inventory Management ---
  
  It explores a range of practical and effective measures for efficiently maintaining inventory. The effects on purchasing and inventory with the implementation of Just In Time (JIT) systems will also be studied. Students will gain an appreciation of the wider implications of purchasing and inventory on the environment and the effects of globalization on these organizational functions.
• 310KM M-Commerce Applications--- 310KM M-Commerce Applications ---
  
  Provides a basis for advising an organization on the feasibility of its mobile commerce strategy. An appreciation of the nature and scope of mobile commerce applications will be sought. Mobile commerce terminology, technical issues and business context will be considered. Strategies, characteristics and techniques for developing and deploying mobile commerce applications are explored.
• 324KM Business Management Strategy--- 324KM Business Management Strategy ---
  
  The aim of the module is to provide students with an understanding of strategic decision making and a capability to contribute to the process of business strategy making. The module critically examines techniques available to companies aiming to develop sustainable competitive advantage in their industry.
• 303EC Individual Project--- 303EC Individual Project ---
  
  It serves as the main vehicle for integration of the various programme modules and provides a focus for practical application of the knowledge gained on the programme. Projects are expected to be a substantial practical problem-solving exercise or a research study, which require students to demonstrate their skills in organization, time-management, investigation and communication.

Degree Programme Entry Requirements

Applicants to be considered for the Bachelor Degree programme must normally hold:

• Related Logistics Advanced Diploma from Auston Institute of Management, or
• Polytechnic Related Business or Logistics Diploma, or
• Related Business or Logistics Diploma and Advanced Diploma from recognised institutions
• Professional Certificate from recognized institutions.

Notes:

Mature candidates (>25 yrs) and exceptions to the above will be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants whose first language is not English must achieve an English Language Proficiency of CEFR C1, Anglia Preparatory English Course Proficiency Level or equivalent.

Admission to various entry levels is subject to final approval from the awarding institution/university.
