  It serves as the main vehicle for integration of the various programme modules and provides a focus for practical application of the knowledge gained on the programme. Projects are expected to be a substantial practical problem-solving exercise or a research study, which require students to demonstrate their skills in organization, time-management, investigation and communication.
• 310SE Advanced Digital Systems--- 310SE Advanced Digital Systems ---
  
  The aim is to enable the student to design a signal processing solution using two different approaches: hardware-only and programmable digital signal processor. It is an additional aim that the student will be able to evaluate a 'System on Chip' method of circuit design.
• 350CT System Security--- 350CT System Security ---
  
  This module aims to give students both a theoretical and a practical understanding of the basic foundations and technologies of network and systems security, which include but are not limited to various cryptographic techniques and their applications in network security, web security, operating systems security, database security.
• 311SE Communications and Networks--- 311SE Communications and Networks ---
  
  The aim of this module is to introduce students to more advanced topics including network congestion and quality of service together with the modulation and coding which are essential features of contemporary digital transmission.
• 340CT Large Scale Software Development--- 340CT Large Scale Software Development ---
  
  This module identifies the problems that can arise in the production of a large scale software development (LSSD) and the design criteria for minimising these problems. Students look at the tools and techniques needed to successfully manage a LSSD whilst avoiding the problems related to configuration management and version control.
• 395CT Enterprise Systems Development--- 395CT Enterprise Systems Development ---
  
  Aims to give an understanding and skills in the area of developing enterprise systems, which encompass and integrate the functionality of the various components of an enterprise. The module will examine typical enterprise structure in terms of functional areas and workflow and show how these can be mapped on enterprise architecture.

Degree Programme Entry Requirements

Applicants to be considered for the Bachelor Degree programme must normally hold:

• Related Computer Networking and Communications Technology Advanced Diploma from Auston Institute of Management, or
• Polytechnic Related Information Technology or Electrical and Electronic Engineering Diploma, or
• Related Information Technology or Electrical and Electronic Engineering cum Advanced Diploma from recognised institutions
• Professional Certificate from recognized institutions.

Notes:

Mature candidates (>25 yrs) and exceptions to the above will be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants whose first language is not English must achieve an English Language Proficiency of CEFR C1, Anglia Preparatory English Course Proficiency Level or equivalent.

Admission to various entry levels is subject to final approval from the awarding institution/university.
