  It serves as the main vehicle for integration of the various programme modules and provides a focus for practical application of the knowledge gained on the programme. Projects are expected to be a substantial practical problem-solving exercise or a research study, which require students to demonstrate their skills in organization, time-management, investigation and communication.
• 310SE Advanced Digital Systems--- 310SE Advanced Digital Systems ---
  
  The aim is to enable the student to design a signal processing solution using two different approaches: hardware-only and programmable digital signal processor. It is an additional aim that the student will be able to evaluate a 'System on Chip' method of circuit design.
• 304SE Power Systems--- 304SE Power Systems ---
  
  It aims to provide a study of subjects pertinent to the generation, supply and control of electrical energy. These subjects will include energy sources, primary and final power supply systems together with the economics of energy supply and demand.

  Introduce students to more advanced topics including network congestion and quality of service together with the modulation and coding which are essential features of contemporary digital transmission.
• 340CT Large Scale Software Development--- 340CT Large Scale Software Development ---
  
  This module identifies the problems that can arise in the production of a large scale software development (LSSD) and the design criteria for minimising these problems. Students look at the tools and techniques needed to successfully manage a LSSD whilst avoiding the problems related to configuration management and version control.
• 330MED Product Development Strategies--- 330MED Product Development Strategies ---
  
  It is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to critically evaluate the business risks associated with the product introduction process.

Degree Programme Entry Requirements

Applicants to be considered for the Bachelor Degree programme must normally hold:

• Related Electrical and Electronic Engineering Advanced Diploma from Auston Institute of Management, or
• Polytechnic Related Electrical and Electronic Engineering Diploma, or
• Related Electrical and Electronic Engineering Diploma and Advanced Diploma from recognised institutions
• Professional Certificate from recognized institutions.

Notes:

Mature candidates (>25 yrs) and exceptions to the above will be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants whose first language is not English must achieve an English Language Proficiency of CEFR C1 , Anglia Preparatory English Course Proficiency Level or equivalent.

Admission to various entry levels is subject to final approval from the awarding institution/university.
