  This module will provide students with the opportunity to utilize knowledge gained from their programme of study. This will be achieved via an industrial business project that requires students to select and design a product, plan its sales, manufacture and distribution in line with projected market forecasts.

  Introduces project management and provides a foundation for developing project skills, both human and technical, that will enable them to work on a variety of projects. The human and change aspects of projects are considered in order that the student may understand the effect on morale, productivity and quality of management decisions.
• 330MED Product Development Strategies--- 330MED Product Development Strategies ---
  
  It aims to show the interactions between Product Design and successful Business Management and how to evaluate the effect design can have on business performance.The module considers the product development process from product need to marketing the product profitably.
• 305EMM Total Quality Management--- 305EMM Total Quality Management ---
  
  The intention of this subject is to convey the importance of quality as a strategy for continuous improvement in business performance. This will be achieved through the study of philosophies, tools, systems and techniques associated with Total Quality Management.
• 310KM M-Commerce Applications--- 310KM M-Commerce Applications ---
  
  It seeks to provide a basis for advising an organization on the feasibility of its mobile commerce strategy. An appreciation of the nature and scope of mobile commerce applications will be sought. Mobile commerce terminology, technical issues and business context will be considered. Strategies, characteristics and techniques for developing and deploying mobile commerce applications are explored.
• 324KM Business Management Strategy--- 324KM Business Management Strategy ---
  
  The aim of the module is to provide students with an understanding of strategic decision making and a capability to contribute to the process of business strategy making. The module critically examines techniques available to companies aiming to develop sustainable competitive advantage in their industry.

Degree Programme Entry Requirements

Applicants to be considered for the Bachelor Degree programme must normally hold:

• Related Engineering Business Management Advanced Diploma from Auston Institute of Management, or
• Polytechnic Related Engineering or Information Technology Diploma, or
• Related Engineering or Information Technology Diploma and Advanced Diploma from recognised institutions
• Professional Certificate from recognized institutions.

Notes:

Mature candidates (>25 yrs) and exceptions to the above will be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants whose first language is not English must achieve an English Language Proficiency of CEFR C1 , Anglia Preparatory English Course Proficiency Level or equivalent.

Admission to various entry levels is subject to final approval from the awarding institution/university.
